Top 5 Video Game Crushes

Due to a paralyzing ice storm and power outage, this is about two days late from when I wanted to publish it. Better late then never.

Love is in the air. Birds are singing. Splashes of red and pink adorn every store. It’s Valentine’s Day and most places have been decked out for at least a month (or two) for the holiday where you celebrate actually finding someone to put up with you 365 days out of the year (hopefully)  If you are like me and would rather not settle for another disappointing year with self-brought chocolate paired with a “new” release on Netflix, you’ll probably spend the holiday with some of your fictional crushes. No matter if they have a love interest, they will always be there for you.

5. Link – The Legend of Zelda
I’m not sure what it is about this silent hero, but he’s got all my heart containers filled. I have much more a crush on the older, non-pixelated Link of the Twilight Princess variety. TLoZ being one of my favorite franchises means I have spent a lot of time with this hero and although I do not use him in the Smash Brothers games, I always swoon when he’s the approaching challenger.

4. Booker DeWitt – Bioshock Infinite
Sometimes, a woman just wants a mature gentlemen. I feel Booker is quite dapper indeed with his classic, 1920s fashion. With infinite storylines, I could always choose a Booker much more suited for my needs as long as I find a lighthouse. Perferbly I would like a non-racist or religious sociopath for my dashing hero.

3. Scorpion – Mortal Kombat
I think my younger version had a thing for masked dudes even if they had a skull for a head. Scorpion has been in my life since I was 7 years old. We will be celebrating a 20 year anniversary this year – how exciting! Get over here? Of course, my sweet.

2. Delsin Rowe – Infamous: Second Son
Perhaps it is a bit premature to fall in love with a character who’s game is not even out, but Delsin’s good looks have caught my attention. Many game journalists have commented that hid snarky and arrogant personailty have made him unlikable, but I would like to think he’s just misunderstood. I certainly can’t wait to roam around Seattle with my newest boo.

1. Nathan Drake – Uncharted
Oh Nathan, I love thee. Let me count the ways. What girl doesn’t want such a handsome man to whisk her off to uncharted territories in search of relics? I love a man who wants to include me in his hobbies! I gotta hand it to Delsin, he nearly unseated my beloved from his place, but a king needs his throne. Nathan’s throne is my heart.
