It won’t be long now until Bioshock Infinite is out. After several delays, this highly anticipated game is dropping on March 26th. The gaming community could not be happier. To further excite the salivating masses is a gorgeous CG trailer that started airing this past weekend. It is beautiful. Here’s the synopsis taken right from the official Bioshock Infinite website.
“Set in 1912, players assume the role of former Pinkerton agent Booker DeWitt, sent to the flying city of Columbia on a rescue mission. His target? Elizabeth, imprisoned since childhood. During their daring escape, Booker and Elizabeth form a powerful bond — one that lets Booker augment his own abilities with her world-altering control over the environment. Together, they fight from high-speed Sky-Lines, in the streets and houses of Columbia, on giant zeppelins, and in the clouds, all while learning to harness an expanding arsenal of weapons and abilities, and immersing players in a story that is not only steeped in profound thrills and surprises, but also invests its characters.”
Bioshock Infinite is the first Bioshock I will be playing. Rapture scared the crap of me even while I watched the games playthrough by various gamers. Columbia seems a bit more bright an airy despite the dark, political tones and the fact that something is just not right with the city in the sky. Let’s not forget the Heavy Hitters that will throw Booker about – literally. I am very excited for this game and can’t wait to get my hands on a copy!
